What if a gas leak is discovered?
No need to worry, we are more than equipped to diagnose and rectify anything from a small patch job to a full gas line replacement. These are considered outside the scope of a standard heater service so come at an additional cost, but will be quoted and discussed on site.
What do I do if a gas leak is found, but can't afford a full gas line replacement?
The cost of replacing a gas line can add up quickly, with the average job ending up between roughly $3,000 – $4,000. This is of course a significant amount of money to spend on sudden notice, so to help out Australian Gas Networks offer their Priority Services program to customers in need. The program helps cover some or all of the cost of a customer’s gas infrastructure related expenses and is assessed on a case-by-case basis. This can include covering the cost of a gas safety check and replacement, and repair of appliances such as heaters, hot water systems, cookers, etc.
