What Is a Priority Group Customer?

A priority group household is defined as residential premises in which a person resides who meets one or more of the following criteria:

Commonwealth Concession Card Holder

Cards issued by Centrelink — including pensioner concession, TPI Gold Repatriation Health Card, War Widow’s Gold Repatriation Health Card, Gold Repatriation Health Card, health care card, or low-income health care card.

SA Government Energy Bill Concession

Receives the South Australian government energy bill concession.

Low-Rent Residential Tenancy

Has a residential tenancy agreement where rent is $500 or less per week.

Energy Retailer Hardship Program

Is actively participating in an energy retailer hardship program.

Energy Retailer Payment Plan

Is actively participating in an energy retailer’s payment plan.

SAFCA Referral

Has received a referral from a registered member of the South Australian Financial Counsellors Association (SAFCA).

Interested in a Gas Hot Water System?

While not able to claim the same rebates as a heat pump or solar hot water system, there are programs available from Australian Gas Networks for customers in financial hardship or in need of priority services which can mean additional financial support is potentially available.
