OVERVIEW

Rebates are available to existing homes & small businesses moving towards a more energy efficient hot water system, such as heat pump or solar hot water system. The amounts of these rebates vary depending on a few key factors including what system is currently installed, and what it is being replaced with.

There are two rebate schemes available to NSW residents: Small-Scale Technology Certificates (STC) from the federal government, and the Energy Savings Scheme (ESS) from the NSW state government. When upgrading to a heat pump or solar system customers can almost always claim both the STC and ESS rebates.

FOR OVER 20 YEARS

AM I ELIGIBLE?

For STC and ESS, if you are upgrading to a more efficient system such as an approved solar or heat pump unit then you qualify for both rebates.
All of the solar and heat pump units which we offer are fully approved for both ESS and STCs.

HOW MUCH AM I ELIGIBLE FOR?

The rebate amounts vary depending on what type of system you are upgrading to and what was previously installed.
STC rebates for solar and heat pump systems range between around $530 – $600 based on how efficient the system is. ESS rebates between range between $450 – $870.

HOW DO I CLAIM?

This is the easy part, we do all the work for you!
For all Hotwater.com.au installations we claim all rebates on your behalf and take it off the final cost as a point of sale discount. You only need to pay the full amount less any applicable rebates.
