To celebrate the release of the new AMBIHEAT HDc-270 Heat Pump Rheem are offering $500 off when trading-in an existing system. So what makes this system different to other heat pumps? There’s a few big things we like about this system compared to others. Firstly, the built in timer is a huge plus. Instead of the system operating 24/7, the LED display will allow you to set timeframes for the unit to operate. For example when the weather is at its most efficient, not overnight when you’re trying to sleep, when you might have excess solar PV generating, or on the Shoulder or Off-Peak tariff if you’ve recently moved to a Time of Use Tariff structure. Similarly priced models would require an external timer to be installed which can add around $300-$400 to the install cost. Additionally the 7 year cylinder warranty is 2 years above the industry standard for heat pumps, which has previously been one of our biggest concerns with this style of system.
