ADELAIDE CITY COUNCIL REBATES

Adelaide City Council’s Incentives for Sustainability

Adelaide City Council’s Incentives for Sustainability program incentivises residents to switch from gas or wood-burning appliances to electric or solar-powered alternatives, promoting a more sustainable lifestyle. The rebate covers 50% of the out-of-pocket costs for replacing your existing gas or wood-burning appliance, offering a maximum rebate amount of $1,000, making the transition more affordable.

The program targets a variety of appliances that traditionally rely on gas or wood for fuel. This could include: Hot water systems: Replacing a gas hot water heater with an electric heat pump or solar hot water system. Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems: Upgrading from a gas furnace to an electric heat pump for both heating and cooling. Cooking appliances: Switching your gas stovetop or oven to an electric model, and more. For more information on the rebates available and how much you may be entitled to, please visit the Adelaide City Council website.
